Revit programmer required

Postby dbolton » 30 Jul 2013, 16:33

Good day,

I am looking for somebody that can program Revit in such a way as to either have a family or a plugin that will create a fully parametric swimming pool for me. The swimming pool walls are made of stainless steel panels (generally 900mm wide). I want to have the ability to enter the dimensions of the pool and then have the plugin automatically insert particular panel families along the edge of the pool. These panel families must then have the ability to be changed for smaller panels, the panel sizes are generally 900mm wide along the length of the pool, but some panels sizes are dependent on accessories that might be added to the panels and also on other criteria that will require for certain panels to be smaller than others. As long as we retain the ability for panels to be changed, it will be a win.

Of course, there is a lot more to the equation than what I have mentioned here and I will gladly give more information should someone feel that they are able to program a plugin like this for me.

So, if anyone can program this or if you know of someone who can, then please contact me via e-mail on dbolton@acor.com.au or reply to this thread.

Kind regards,

Des

Hi Bang

The swimming pools are exactly the same as the ones you will find at your local council swimming pool (Public Pool) or a regular Olympic size swimming pool but instead of concrete they use stainless steel panels with a vinyl laminate.

I do have a sample Revit project, but it is too large to post here. If anyone is interested, I could get it to them via an FTP site.

I have attached some PDF docs of the sample here.

Thanks,

Des

sorry for late reply because I can not find the good solution your case.
Finally, you should use the curtain wall to model the swimming pool.
- use curtain panel to model the panel
- use mullion to model the post/support.

hope this help.
