Hey good tip, i was using photo programe to apply backgrounds.. so found this one very helpfull.. :lol:

just to add... the PNG format also has transparent background and is generally a much smaller file size

Thank you, this is a cool little tip.

Have you tried this with Revit Architecture 2010, as I just tried this with both a *tiff and a *png with no success?

Viola it does work! well kind of works...

Stupid Revit does not accept alpha channels through glass (which is the whole point, as you want the reflections), i.e. interior views looking out you need to turn off the glass. Exterior renders are fine, also if you want to use this technique with hidden line views with shadows on... ensure you do not use a gradient background.
