revit api -hide a parameter

Postby Andrew126 » 26 Oct 2007, 23:52

Hi!

Could somebody write to me, how to hide a parameter??
I can use the API, and I need to make an invisible parameter to a family.

You can "hide" a parameter - or at least make it read only in the project by filling in the formula in the family as what you want it to display.
eg:
Parameter: URL
Value: www.rugsyd.com.au
Formula: www.rugsyd.com.au

This will lock it out from users.

Hope this helps

When did you start to use Revit?: v4.1 2002

First do study about whole project and make one list of all parameters, so by which parameter which types of effect has been draw, so you can decide easily which parameter have to be hide to get your result.
